Haven't even had bubby in it yet (DH wheeled it in to collect us from hospital, but I ended up carrying DD out myself) but the hood snaps not staying done up is already doing my head in!It has been interesting to read others comments regarding the fabric though. I actually didn't buy the previous model because the floor model had so many pulls and snags in the fabric, and the fabric on the newer version seemed less likely to do this. It's a real shame because the Venezia seemed to have a very good reputation, and had even won the approval of some of the die-hard pram addicts here on EB (and they should know!)Hmm, think I'll be following this one up with the manufacturer.Regards,PugglePugglebug born 21.11.2005 .AnneClaire ~ November 2005Version 2.0 ~ due 23/10/2008 crikey 03/12/2005, 08:06 PM what will I write here?Posts: 2,778 Post #12 Puggle,My pram was taken away to a place at Botany and the wheels were aligned for free, it now steers like a dream !There is a big problen with these prams, Syndey's Baby kingdom has had to get them all fixed !Take it back and ask them to fix the wheels for free. I was given a brand new loan pram to use in the meantime ! My reply was a bit ambiguous (blame the lack of sleep with a newborn for that one!) I carried DD out to the car and we sat my duffle bag on the stroller not because of a steering problem but because I'm ! My pram seems to steer OK (at this stage) It's just the hood not staying done up that gives me the sh*ts. I reckon it really needs two metal press studs on either side, not this stupid one plastic jobby business. I'm going to email Housewares International and see what they have to say for themselves... For a reasonably expensive pram with the reputation that the Venezia has (or should that be 'had'?), it really isn't good enough.I'm glad to hear your steering has been repaired. Did they have anything to say about the hood issue?PugglePugglebug 21.11.2005 crikey 15/02/2006, 01:05 PM what will I write here?Posts: 2,778 Post #14 MY PRAM IS A HUNK OF JUNKOk, now it's been replaced and repaired and still a big hunk of doo doo. I have found SOOOO many complaints on the net about the wheels on these prams.Peg Perego are contacting me at the end of the month as they are replacing my wheels with the new 2006 venezia wheels. The pram is sitting here, unused, collecting dust, I have to carry Amara is the carrier, she's only little 5 months nearly and not 6 kilos yet lucky....!! But as she gets bigger I;ll need my pram back.Anyway I'll let you know how the new wheels go.I saw a lady shopping the other day, pushing the same pram as mine. I watched her wheels wobble and pull inwards and she was having problems steering, so I walked up to her and gave her all the info, she said she will e calling as soon as she got home !!!We need all the venezia owners to check their wheels for uneven ware caused by bad alignment...and they need to complain to PEG PEREGO, A recall should be issued !!!!In the meantime DO NOT BUY A 2005 VENEZIA !!!Email me if you want to read my emails and responses for Peg Perego Italy They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morningWe will remember them.ANZAC Day April 25th KatyG 15/02/2006, 07:25 PM Advanced MemberPosts: 900 Post #15 I'd be taking it back and demanding a full refund or exchange!!! ...and William 19/6/07 crikey 28/06/2006, 06:52 PM what will I write here?Posts: 2,778 Post #16 UPDATE TO THIS STORY !!!Today Peg Perego Personally delivered me the new 2006 Venezia.New and improved ! New wheel tread and a few extra features.I was able to get it in the Toffee colour, it's very nice.It is much more sturdy than the 2005 model. I had my 2005 one sitting next to the new 2006 one and the difference in stability was huge.Anyone who has a 2005 Venezia with the silver mags with round holes (not the star shaped mags) Ring Housewares international and DO YOUR BLOCK !!!They are faulty, the wheels curve inwards in the baby facing mum position and this will cause un even ware and a wobble ride for bubs. This post has been edited by crikey: 28/06/2006, 06:52 PM They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morningWe will remember them.ANZAC Day April 25th Lisa77 28/06/2006, 09:31 PM Advanced MemberPosts: 44 Post #17 I bought the 2005 Peg Venezia in June last year before my little boy was born. I had the pram back a few times with the wheels being faulty (eg. not touching the ground and bending inwards) They replaced the wheels for me twice and I was still having the same problem. I asked to have the pram replaced which they did and same thing happened again. After 2 new Peg's I demanded my money back and got a Childcare Infinity. This pram is great. I think your right about there being a faulty batch of Peg Venezia's. Since taking mine back I have heard alot of problems with them. It really surprises me that they would drag their heels about recognising a faulty batch of prams. I mean with stiff competition from all the new bugaboo type prams you'd think PEg would really wanting to be keeping a position in the market. I have lots of legs, 3 children and one very very interesting blog crikey 29/06/2006, 02:58 PM what will I write here?Posts: 2,778 Post #19 Hi Lisa, the problem you are describing is exactly what was happening with mine.I took the new 2006 one shopping today and it was excellent. The new tyres have a smooth tread and stay on the ground !They have improved the harness also.Anyway I hope all owners of the 2005 model are able to exchange or get a refund.Where did you buy your pram from? I seem to have had no luck with my previous 2. At least the last one's wheels stayed on! My Childcare, denim bears pram wheels fell off!
